[This was going to be awkward, but after some sage advice from certain friends Nepeta thought that avoiding the subject (and really, Terezi as a whole) was not going to get any questions answered or solve anything.
She was a little embarrassed about what had happened, but more than that she was confused. Very, very confused and a little afraid she had ruined her friendship with the other girl because of some silly red feelings.
Hopefully she would still be able to salvage it, so she looked up towards her tree hive and called her name:]
[There's a voice she hadn't expected to hear. What had occurred between her and Nepeta had been merely a fluke-- roleplaying gone pretty well to be honest. But she hadn't... Expected it.
She finds her way towards the voice, looking out her window to call back to her.]
[She really had no idea where Terezi might stand on this. A part of her was surprised to get an answer at all, and she couldn't derive anything as to how she might be feeling from her tone.
She looks up, before trying to swallow down some of her nervousness]
We already have a ruling class! And it obviously isn't working!
[She's almost yelling; nothing gets Kitty more heated than talk of politics. Maybe because it's so personal; who hasn't experienced the corruption of the current system?]
[As if he's trying to reassure a child who doesn't quite understand the inner workings.]
But what of the people that keep the commoners safe? Magicians exert all their time and energies into protecting London and continuing to push it forward in power and developments. Are you saying that there should be no reward for our endless toils? Seems a bit unfair if you have a commoner and a magician being of equal status when the magician works harder to keep the peace.

[He rubs at the back of his neck, irritated, but trying to keep calm, patient.]
-but if this system is going to work at all, then we need a ruling class. You have to admit that.
