All right folks, come on, lay it on me. I WANT criticism. I've been playing River for a while now and I'd like to know if you think I've been inconsistent, if there's something you want clarification on, if you've noticed any glaring speech patterns that are off or anything that conflicts with canon, etcetera etcetera. Granted she's been a bit AU'ed, but still. Anything you got I wanna hear, anon or no, and unless it's like "i hate u nd ur stupid face" I am 99% NOT going to take offense.

I play a handful others on and off, including these three who I'd love to get some feedback on as well:

Hi there,

I like playing with your River quite a bit (even though I drop tags). I haven't noticed any glaring speech pattern issues or anything. But I play one of the least British Doctors out there I think.

I don't have much other crit though.

I am also so very not British myself, so I'm hyper-conscious of whether or not I'm accidentally making River sound too-contrivedly British or not. No idea. Try my best.

I really should play with your Grimm pups more. Crow needs to be more social.

Firstly, though, I love Karina. I need to play with her more. I haven't played with her enough to be able to see a clear distinction in it yet/most of the time the Corsair's caught her it's been as primarily Karina, but I'm looking forward to seeing how you differentiate her voice/attitude from Loki's as you play. Also, totally random, but I liked that post where she got tripped up and cycled between "I" and "we" in her response. That was cool.

Also your muses seem to have pretty distinct voices. Like there'd definitely be no mixing up Karina & David. Although I don't think David's as big a dick as you say he is. He's been pretty sweet to River so far. ;P

Thank you so much. Karina is sort of my baby, being the youngest and most naive of my muses. I am currently in the midst of reviewing all the myths I have ever heard about Loki and some I didn't know existed so that I can properly play her transition and swings into Loki. Although she's unlikely to be Loki around the Corsair--the Corsair is the reason she's hesitating at all about her new plan. He brings out Karina every time. I'm so glad you like her.

The voices is my worry. Especially with the ones like Nathaniel and Bliss, who are the kind of uber-formal voices that I seem so fond of. >_> I am glad you find their voices distinct. And David's getting better. He was an asshole when I started playing him, and he was a villain before that. He's getting better, finally.

ETA: Also. Said it before, but yours is the best River around. Hands down. I can't bloody stand her in canon. I love your version. Honest. <3

I've only played with your Dorothy once, but I have to say, I adore her characterization, the way you straddle the line between the Kansas farmgirl and the way her Oz experiences helped her grow. It's no small task, taking on a character from an iconic movie, where almost every player is going to be familiar with the canon, and then putting her into situations with all sorts of other characters. But you do a very good job.

I knew it was a big job, but I couldn't help myself. After so many times of watching The Wizard of Oz, it's hard to say no to a character that begs for more. I'm glad it's going as well as I hoped it was. Thank you.
