My level of regret is on the tin.hamelinicJanuary 5 2013, 16:39:20 UTC
It takes... a lot more work than Cynric would have thought, actually. But the Stradivarius is worth it--so completely worth it. The time and sweat and frustration and sore fingers and frazzled mind are completely, completely worth it the first time he makes it through a piece with a smooth flow that seems more like his work on the lute than his more recent hesitant picking at the violin.
That's why he lets himself get lost in the exuberance. And that's why, when he sets the Strad down in the case carefully, he doesn't stop himself reaching to catch hold of the back of Johnny's neck and tug him in for a hard, happy kiss.
What is this word, anyway?fiddlerjohnnyJanuary 5 2013, 16:53:32 UTC
Johnny himself was in the midst of applauding both Cynric's new learned skill and his own prowess at teaching the Joker when suddenly he's being tugged and kissed and, well, "mmfemmfmm"
I've had a few. But, then again. Too few to mention.hamelinicJanuary 5 2013, 17:02:31 UTC
That sums it nicely, yes. What also sums it nicely is the beaming smile on the Joker's lips when, after a few heartbeats, he pulls back, lets go of the other man completely.
"Thank you."
For the teaching. Maybe also a little bit for not slapping the kiss away.
So, um, have a half-vampire? And, illegal activies.immortaldocJanuary 5 2013, 17:26:53 UTC
[There's something nice about being naked, even if the weather wasn't the warmest. The coolness doesn't bother Emily as she steps closer to the outdoor pool she's found on the outskirts of the city. The owners seem gone and the pool is heated so she dives in.]
[The sound drew Mitchell, really. The splash. He followed, seeing the steam rise from the pool through the metal fencing before he saw her.
He could smell her, though, even over the chlorine. A vampire ... of a sort? He held to the bars, watching. It was, even he had to admit, a nice show if nothing else.]
[Emily spends a great deal of time under the water, swimming from one end to the other, not really needing to breathe. When she emerges, her head tilts to the side and when she senses him, her head turns in his direction.
He's a vampire - a full one, the sory that has to die in order to be turned, and she stares for a long moment. It's not everyday she runs into someone like him.]
Knowing him, it's a 1.lawyer_powersJanuary 12 2013, 13:31:19 UTC
[Has just spent the night with the Slovenian girl behind the counter at Starbucks.] Now all I need is a Croatian and a Macedonian and I'll have the Yugoslavian set.

I thought you of all people would sympathise, Britta, knowing what that area has been through. They deserve a little joy in their lives.
