The wedding hadn't been what either of them had wanted, but when children are at the whims of their parents for barter when it comes to truces for countries, it's hard to argue. Especially when argument falls on deaf ears. A Princess he's never met before the wedding, was now his wife. And his mother was already chattering about grandchildren despite the fact that they hadn't even gotten a wedding night.
After the feast to celebrate their wedding, Joe moves down the castle hall with her, leading her to the suite that would now be their home. As per the arrangements, she's stuck living at his castle in his country. He opens the door and bows slightly to let her in. "My Lady."
Dana's never quite been one to follow any damn rules, Princess or not. And now she was being bartered off to some man she'd never met and didn't know. Of course, she'd be expected to listen and do as told, by him because he'd be her lord and all powerful husband. What bullshit.
Most of the wedding Dana stayed tuned out, despite the fact that the Prince was...well, damn attractive. But it was his cocky attitude and superior demeanor that irked her the most.
Now as they headed down the castle hallway, towards their (now hers too) large living quarters, Dana worked on a stony expression, lips pursed as he bowed and gestured her into the room.
Sighing, she strode forward and past him, pointedly ignoring the candle lights and the large four poster bed obviously set up for their wedding night.
It wasn't lost on him that she'd been quiet and not really here for most of the wedding and celebration. The set to her jaw said a lot too, he was sure. He'd tried to be as nice as possible, it wasn't like he'd arranged it. He was as much a victim of this wedding as she was.
His new wife was beautiful, all soft curves and a bust that he could bury his face in. There was no missing how good she looked and while she had been tuned out, he had been admiring her.
He moved in after her, closing the large doors behind them and shutting the castle out. He then moves after her a little, watching her to see how this is going to go.
Sighing, Dana didn't turn at the sound of the doors closing, moving instead to look out the large balcony window opposite the door, the silk of her dress clinging to her body and shifting with her every step.
She had no intention of initiating anything with this man.
He moved slowly up behind her, reflection fairly clear in the glass from the candle light. His hands settle around her waist gently as his head dips to kiss her shoulder. She might not have any intention, but he did. He would honor what their parents had forced them into.
He watches her in the reflection, taking in the features of her face even just through the glass. Though he blinks a little when she turns and moves, especially after that shiver he'd earned from her body.
He turns and moves a few steps towards the bed. "We can retire for the night, if that is what you wish." His eyes slide to the bed they'd be sharing.
And of course he thought he now had a right. They were married now.
"It is." Dana quips, back to him as she looked at their overly large and lavish bed. It was covered in dark red satin sheets, the candles flickering a sensual glow over them that Dana didn't appreciate.
Shoulders still tense, she stepped to what she deemed now as her side of the bed, hesitantly reaching back to unlace her dress. Couldn't very well sleep in it.
He liked the look of the bed, the way the candles flickered that glow over both the bed but also her. He moves forward, back to being behind her. He didn't want to stew in resentment or anger considering they were stuck in this marriage.
His fingers slide to help her undo those ties. "Let me," he murmurs softly.
Yes, well, Dana also didn't want to consummate a marriage with a man she didn't know. Who did he think she was? Some common whore? Nevermind being his wife now, it was the principle of the matter to her. Besides that, all she probably was to him was a nice warm body to sink himself into, nothing of more importance than that.
No, Dana was strong willed and independent and damned if she'd let him-- let him conquer her like some piece of land to claim!
As his fingers slipped to undo the ties of her dress, she drew herself up, once more stepping away from him. "I'd rather you not."
Dana wasn't going to get much of a choice in consummating the marriage, he was determined to do that tonight. He knew she wasn't some common whore, that she was a Princess in her own right. But she was his wife now, and that came with certain responsibilities. As for if she was more than just a body, of course she was. It was her lack of knowing him that caused her to even ask that.
She was already claimed, and it could be pleasurable if she'd stop fighting it.
He sighs as she steps away from him, eyes frustrated as he watches her. "You're going to have to let me touch you at some point."
Huffing, she moves her hands, not looking at him as she quickly undoes her dress and let's it pool down around her feet. She's left in the white corset she had been stuffed into for her wedding night and revealing lace panties. Her sheer white stocks sit high on her thighs, a ruffled garter about her right leg as she steps down out of her heels.
He watches her, eyes taking all that beauty in. The soft glow casting shadows over the white corset and lace panties. He shifts to tug out of his clothes slowly, stripping down to everything save for his pants before he turns back to her.
"You're my wife." His tone says that she's being unreasonable.
Making a huffing sound, Dana ignored him, moving to grab a robe that had been laid out for her by her vanity to tug on over her revealing under garments.
He moves over to her, catching her arm and turning her to face him. His look is stern as he tugs her to him. It's a gentle tug, but a firm one all the same.
"Your body is not. Nor is mine. There are things that must be done to seal this marriage."

"You didn't eat much at the feast tonight."

As he touches her like that though, lips brushing at her bare shoulder, Dana shivers and turns swiftly, moving out of his hold.
"I was not hungry. I am however, tired." How dare he touch her so intimately, they barely knew each other and now he thought he had the right...
