But who is sick and what verse?

Brokenverse, and who the heck else would get sick?! scots_fuzz October 15 2012, 01:39:21 UTC
He's miserable. It was something he ate, or breathed, or innocently brushed up against on their latest sojourn somewhere.

Wat do, tour guide?

Well I mean it's minutely possible to be her? :3 lone_defender October 15 2012, 01:54:40 UTC
That depends, does he want nanogenes, a futuristic hospital, or to hole up in his room until it passes?

"How are y'holding up?"

He doesn't care. He just wants to get better! Stop his miserability! He'd do all three if it healed him in an instant!

"Everythin' 'urts. Even talkin'." He winces, his eyes shutting as tight as he can manage. Which to the outside observer, might not be as tight as Riley thinks.

That would be redundant. Is he capable of handling a TARDIS trip somewhere?

She frown and reaches out to touch his forehead. "We can get you to a doctor if you want."

Even if he isn't, she should do something about him. As long as it doesn't involve throwing him out into space mid-TARDIS-flight. :|

He shies away from Rose's touch, swatting ineffectually at her hand. "Och, ye're freezin' cold." Someone has a fever and doesn't want to talk about doctors!

She's not going to throw him out, but it's useful she knows what he can handle. If he has to stay put in the TARDIS that doesn't move that limits her ability to help him.

She frowns and ignores his swatting. "You've got a fever. What did you eat?"

As long as she doesn't have the TARDIS' handbrake pulled, he should be fine. Half the time he wonders if the ship can even physically crash the way she handles her. So smooth!

He grumbles and shifts where he's laying, "Nothin' weird. That blue theng tha' tasted li' strawberries? Look'd like a pineapple? You 'ad some too."

Is that flattery? That seems like flattery. She'll take it though. The TARDIS is really the one piloting in the end.

"Yeah but you could've had an allergic reaction to it. Different universes, you know. Let's get you to New Earth, alright?"

If it'll get him better sooner? Sure, it's flattery!

Have a whiny grumble, Rose. "I dun' want cat-nuns proddin' at me while I'm li' this. 'S weird." Just then his whole body convulses in a shiver--it might just do to take him no matter what he says, Rose.

How amicable of him when he's ill!

She runs her fingers through his hair gently. "They're not gonna prod at you, just fix you. It's easier than hauling you in to Torchwood. Just sit tight and I'll get us there."

He minutely leans into her petting unconsciously even as he tries to pull blankets tighter around himself, good lord he's so chilly!

"They've still gottae stick me wi' thengs." He wrinkles his nose, then sniffles. "Don't wannae deal wi' tha' right nouw." But he'll be a good little grumbly ill Scotsman and stay put while she takes him to New Earth.

Oh, poor Riley. Lookit what a mess you are.

"It'll be for the best, you'll see." And she kisses him on the temple before she gets up and starts off toward the console room. "I'll ask her to keep the ride smooth for you."

Pfft. He's not a mess, he's just ill.

"Right. Y'do tha'." He mumbles before he drifts off into a state of foggy half-consciousness while Rose directs the TARDIS where she needs to go. When she comes into his room next, Rose might just find a completely conked out copper huddled in his bed.

He is a messy mess of an ill copper.

The TARDIS cooperates and indeed, a temperamental baby could sleep through the ride they take, before she sets it down and comes back for him. Actually, she pops her head out and calls a nurse to get ready for him, but she's banking on him having passed out in the interim.

Once she finds him asleep, she sits gingerly at the side of the bed and runs her fingers through his hair again. "Liam. Wake up."
