18. Hotel Blues.

[Sherlock has let himself into the room, confident that John is following. Probably with the luggage, seeing as how Sherlock hasn't bothered to carry a thing. It's a single room bed and breakfast and it's the only lodging for miles.

The fact that the room contains only one double bed doesn't concern him, because there is also an armchair and he doesn't see himself sleeping tonight. John can take the bed, though whether John will manage to get any rest with Sherlock awake and occupying himself in the same room is doubtful.

In apparent approval of the room, Sherlock shrugs out of his coat and hangs it on a hook near the door and turns, expecting to see John just there.]

[John did follow him into the hotel room with their things. He hadn't expected Sherlock to carry anything. Though he notes how there's only one bed in the room, he shakes his head.

Moving over he places their bags on the floor.]

Afraid that I've run off, Sherlock?

[He says it as though it's obvious that John won't leave him, taking it for granted. He checks his watch. It's only eleven, but as Sherlock is in no mind to drive and John is too tired to drive on, they've been obligated to stop for the night. Sherlock sits down and taps the arm of the chair, full of energy.

He looks up at John and nods to the bed.]

Sleep so we can get going, hm?
