So, you delay the wedded cage you have mounted for yourself.. for this. [he eyes the locomotive.] An aimless jaunt across the country...

Watson figured the detective- hell, they both did infact, need a vacation. It was rediculous, of course, but john figured what better way to be rid of all the humdrum of london and have holmes come to finale terms with his marrying than to have a little fun out on the country? He just hoped the detective didn't start sniffing out any peculiar mysteries because then that would defeat the whole purpose of coming out here! "come now, ol cock, i would hardly call it aimless- you haven't been out of bakerstreet for weeks. I daresay that this has been a long time, coming."

[that wasn't possible - the air here was rife with secrets pushed down for no scandel in an 'innocent, idyllic countryside'. Sherlock would be salivating had he been an excitable man.] You are nothing short of a mother hen -- what does it matter how long I remain cooped up in the house, to you. You are relieved of your duties.

Watson frowned, slightly. "it matters quite alot to me, actually." he was already pinpointing every piece together in the event, had he kept the other home. Wrinkling his nose, the doctor voiced out one out of many concerns he had. "had i kept you at home, that would leave you to your own devices and i can't have that. Fresh air into your lungs is what you need more than your deadly poisons of choice." letting a silent moment pass them by, the doctor then added in response to the detectives statement, "no holmes, i'm not."

Of course - you never bode well with a heavy conscience, I quite understand. [he looks away, not wanting to see that concern - false, as it were, because it had to be - in his eyes.] Forgive me - I shall release you properly.

[dark eyes cut back to his, sharp as his tone as he begins -] Watson, you are hereby relieved of any responsibility of me, with no weight upon your thoughts. I will not mention your heart as, clearly, that was not a factor here. [it was not his, he means, of course.]

He lets out a sharp intake of breath, a reaction he always manages when holmes is being nothing short of an idiot. A selfish, self-centered idiot that it made the dear doctor want to attack the other with a million kisses and then punch the man square in the face. Both at the same time. But pursing his lips and shaking his head, oppossingly and might we say, dissappointingly, john uttered instead, "my decision isn't based on any one thing, holmes. And it most certainly doesn't mean i would loathe the fact that i would become responsible for you, should you get hurt if i wasn't with you." with quite a few mannerisms, watson partially enunciated, "what it does mean, is that i love your company, holmes. And if you can't see this trip as being such, well.. I'm sorry but i will have none of the attitude you are displaying." and with that, john crossed his arms as he looked away from his friend and instead, was more inclined in staring out the window.

Of course you would deny it. [he rolls his lips, seeing his dismissal in his eyesn enough without his words. But Watson couldn't deny a good lashing when the opportunity arose, so to speak. Sherlock was used to such by now and shrugged easily, walking clear around him... as much to avoid as to annoy.] I have already stated I do not want it - but I know this matters not in any case, either so I shall, in effect, keep shtum.
