Be it romantic, falling apart, or just plain out there, you are going to sail this ship. This other person? Like it or not they're coming along for the ride. There's just one thing to remember:
1- Holmes/watsonyour_boswellMay 12 2012, 05:16:48 UTC
John didn't know how or why he ended up here, hell holmes didn't even tell him a blasted thing about the case! Which, by now it was the farthest thing from his mind because right now he was more concerned over the hole in their boat! With a glare, the doctor looked at his companion with a stare that could very well kill. The other hadn't so much as lifted a finger to help, that was the source of watson's frets. Always was, especially when it concerned a boat. Aggrivated, the doctor asked impatiently, wiping a brow, "well? Aren't you going to help? Do you want us to sink? Because we're going to end up doing just that, if you don't get your arse over here!" that, and watson was even more worried at the fact that he wasn't a very good swimmer.
[he is just sitting calmly with the latest gazette by the railing, where water is thrashing at an angle. Precise enough that not a splatter lands on the paper or in his tea.]
Calm yourself, Watson - sinking is not possible. [he says dryly, pointing between them.] Observe. The tilt of the boat suggests the hull is taking water in weight closest to the port-side, opposite to you and I. We have lifeboats should the worst come to worst, but currently... what you are fretting over is the invading water from said tilt. Breathe, old chap.
The doctor stops for a moment to look at the other in quite a fed-up way, almost daring to let the other get in another word of reassurance. Which, when it comes to sherlock holmes, watson couldn't care less about what his friend says because holmes is just speaking in a roundabout way in order not to help. The man licks his lips once as he looks up to the heavens, saying, irritatedly,
"Not possible you say."
thrusting the bucket to the ground, the doctor starts to have a hissy fit because apparently, the detective forgot that there is now a gaping hole in the middle of the ship and they were going to sink if they didn't do something.
"there is a hole in this ship, holmes. Now, HELP ME."
sorry for late! :3re_openedMay 16 2012, 18:24:15 UTC
Yes, if you prefer to repeat it -- [he sighs, effectedly cut off and waits for his panic to subside, which of course it doesn't. Sherlock stands, slow and precise, straightening himself before he bends at the waist, poking the gushing hole with his stick.]
Watson - look. The water is coming up with some difficulty - meaning there is a blockage below. A delay. Therefore.. panic is futile and this - [he kicks the bucket.] Insensible. No. We must block it up, and the hull.

the doctor runs a hand through his hair, obviously upset at both the situation as well as at how holmes always manages to solve any small problem where john himself makes said problem bigger than it actually is.
letting a light sigh escape his lips, the man answered, " well then, what are we going to clog it with? If i end up drowning, i'm going to put all blame on you." and then he felt compelled to mention one more thing.
"you know, you could have told me this fifteen minutes ago before i started thrusting bucketfulls of water out from this ship."

Extracting a handkerchief from his pocket, he hands it over for him to mop up his sweat. Calm as the water soaks close to his own calves now.]
Hmm.. what indeed. Quick, Watson -- your coat, and fetch mine!
