I'm not nearly as bad as I look. [ He says it as quickly as he can manage the moment he sees Phil walk in. Although he's nearly as bad as he looks and his suit is totally scrapped. Now that the fight is over he's being stitched up and bandaged by the annoying S.H.I.E.L.D. medics. He does take a moment to look Coulson over and make sure he's okay as well. ]

Well, I guess that's comforting, because you look like you've been put through a meat grinder. [He eyes the medics.] Tell me you're at least walking.

[ He winces as one of the medics stitches a cut in his side. ] Last time I checked I was.

No worries, I do that sometimes, too.

[Once the medics seem to have Tony cleaned up, Phil shoos them away.]

I can debrief you on your way to your bunk. [He offers an arm.]

[ He manages to sit up and hide some of his wincing. ] My bunk? Please. I've other things I have to do. [ Namely get his suit fixed up in case another attack happens. Although he does take Coulson's help getting up. ]

Yeah, I don't think you do. We're going to your bunk.

[He starts to move slowly in that direction.]

[ Tony manages to get on a t-shirt. ] And what happens if evil strikes, as it always does, and Iron Man is without his Iron. It shouldn't take long, really. I just ne- [ Oh. And walking hurts a lot. ]

That's why we have a team instead of just you. You're going to your bunk. This isn't a debate.

And where will you be? [ Tony leans more of his body wait on Phil now that he's sort of accepting his fate. ]

[Phil smiles.] In my office, filling out the extra paperwork you make me do every time you do this to yourself.

I don't do this to myself. [ He argues. ] Don't you have interns or...PA's to take care of that stuff?

[theshield_agent]

Why? [He laughs.] Do you have somewhere better for me to be?

[aheartofsteel]

Actually yes. [ He nods as they step into his room. ] Here. So that I don't run away...or something.

[theshield_agent]

[Phil helps Tony to the bed before going to close the door.] I'm not too concerned about you running, actually.

[He goes back to Tony and pushes a few hairs back.]

Hobbling then. [ He won't say it out loud but this is the most comfortable bed ever and Coulson's hand just makes it better. ] How's everyone else looking?

Better than you, but half of them aren't really human. Even with the suit, you've got to be more careful. [He sits next to Tony on the bed and starts to check him over with soft touches. It's not that he doesn't trust medical, but he has to make sure.]
