[She has no idea how these Escher-style stairs even exist in reality, even after he explained it...but they're starting to give her a headache. Who would seriously subject themselves to this every day? It's ridiculous!

Mind, she realizes she might be a little bit biased, since she's been lost now for what she's pretty sure is a half hour...but really, she bets anyone who takes these gets lost at least half the time they go through them. Given the nature of the stairs, she's just about given up yelling for the Doctor, but...there's not much other chance of finding him, besides wandering out of an exit or hoping he's got a better sense of non-direction.]

[It's been exactly 37 minutes since they unintentionally split up. He knows. The constantly rearranging pathways don't always help companion and sportscar driver stick together now, do they? That's why when he finally hears Rose calling out his name, he rushes to find that she's .... up... there. Brilliant.]

[She's not sure why or when they stopped holding hands while wandering this...but next time? They're bringing a rope.

She does catch his first call, but...yeah, dizzying drop off with those steps, so it's nice he changed his term before she had to try to crawl down and look.]

I can't. Remember how I told you the gravity fluctuates between planes? Even if I did attempt to, I might not make it to you. Gravity pockets will likely pull me to another surface that isn't yours. [The way he's feeling it currently, from his perspective, he'd fall up and to his right. And that would be disastrous. Those sharp corners aren't made from pillows, yknow!]

If you stay there, I think I should be able to get closer though.

[That's ideal for these situations! They could just...spend forever with their hands stuck together if the TARDIS had nothing to fix it with. At this point it seemed reasonable.]
