Of course. A burst of energy, if channeled correctly, and in the right place...
[Of course her mind is already jumping ahead of her, and she rushes to one of the screens, typing something in. She's so distracted by the possibility of such an invention that she doesn't fully appreciate that he can use her computers without a problem.]
Sort of like a homing device? Of course, without a distinct signature, you'd get lost. [There has to be something to link him with his own universe.]
I've always built with what I have. [It's what she was trained to do, really.] Oh, that? It's not really using it, not really. I'm just monitoring it for rifts, fluctuations. It's not perfect. [She's constantly fooling with it, along with her language translation program, but both are really in working order.]
What powers the device? [There are a few flaws in the design. Suppose someone took the anchor, or something happened to the power source in his universe. But she still likes the idea.]
Toshiko Sato. Pleased to meet you, Mr Tesla. [And there's that blush. She glances around, trying to decide if she should go. Well, there's not much work to be done today. And anyway Jack would probably encourage it. Right?]
[She gasps at that. Not a lot still surprises her, but she's never seen a human do that. Of course she should be more suspicious, but he's not giving off a bad vibe. And she likes him.]
Special. How did you do that?
[But she still gets her jacket. They can talk as they walk.]
[She won't press the issue, of course, but she is curious. She's curious about him in general, but she'll let him tell her what he wants, for right now.
She takes the arm, smiling.] I know a place not far. A cafe. It shouldn't be busy right now.

You're Nikola Tesla?
[Okay, she can handle this. He must have fallen through the Rift. Or something.]

Trans-dimensional holiday? You mean you've invented a machine that can travel between universes?
[Never mind that she has no trouble believing in multiple universes - that's part of the job. But she is a little distracted by the compliments.]
It's not all my doing. I salvaged most of it and rebuilt the system. It's not that complicated. [She can't help beaming, though.]
