Natasha was sure none of them took a breath until the Hulk did. Sucking in air suddenly seemed alien to the assassin and it took a moment of sheer focus to remember how to breathe in and out.
As the Hulk's chest started to move and Thor stepped back, Natasha moved in close again and placed a hand on the giant's cheek. "Bruce? Hulk..."
The ice crystals formed on him were starting to melt. There were large gashes on his arms and legs from the explosion, the blood frozen in place starting to drip from them.
Ok, he's breathing, we need to get this crate down before he wakes up. Tony hurrying to the controls. If the Hulk is mad when he wakes up, the whole ship will be trashed and they'll all die.
They didn't have enough material on the ship to bandage all the wounds, but Natasha started to do her best. She let the others worry about the ship as she stayed with the Hulk just as she had been the one on the comms with Bruce.
The landing was far from pretty but at least they hadn't crashed and Barton had even managed to get them within the vicinity of a SHIELD facility. She could hear him talking to Coulson who was apparently en route.
Seems unnatural for the Hulk to be so motionless. At least he's still breathing. His body fighting back without him realizing it. If he were to change back to Bruce, he would probably die right away.
There's barely a warning when he wakes up, his large green arms reaching out as he struggles to get up. "RRRAAAARR!!!!" He's disoriented and panicking, one fist going right through the side of the ship.
"Hulk! Hulk, stop!" Natasha let authority ring through her voice, not panic, and not anger. She touched him again before moving into his line of sight. "Hulk, it's me. It's Tash." Simple words, simple phrases. She knew he wasn't stupid in this form but so much of how he functioned was just pure instinct.
"It's Tash. You're safe. I know it hurts, but you'll be okay. You're safe."
He's not listening, just in a rage and trying to survive. Maybe he still thinks he's in the ship that's going to explode.
There's a loud crash as he bursts right through the ship wall and out onto the ground, leaving a Hulk shaped hole behind him. He's off and running as fast as he can, not caring which direction it's in.
It's only five minutes later when the Hulk realizes he's picked up Natasha under one arm in his haste.
