At any rate, he hooks an arm under his pillow and props his head up with that hand, adjusting his half of the blankets over himself with the other. He glances over at the hiding blonde with a chuckle.] Och, you're laughin'... Was I really tha' bad?

Honestly not! It was - it was very nice. I honestly don't do this that often, that's all. [Her confession is sheepish and she lifts her head to kiss his cheek.]

He grins at her kiss, shifting a little and biting his lip.] Ye don't, ay? Tha' seemed like a fairly experienced move with the--[He brought his free hand up and spun it around in the air, obviously descriptives failed him.]--thing ye did. I'd never done--that before!

Rose didn't know whether to cry or to throw things or...hit a wall that wasn't there this time as she raged against the universes. So, she ran. Riley raised an eyebrow at her reaction and gave her a quick once-over, frowning a little, concerned at how she'd addressed him--but he'll get to that eventually.] Aside from a wee bit 'f water leakin' from yer eyes, it doesnae look like ye've been soaked in the Thames, miss. [His brow furrowed.] Why?

Especially when his response cut those slim hopes to the quick. Not the Doctor, but apparently, the Doctor had a human double. One who came across Rose right here and right now. That wasn't fair. That wasn't even remotely fair. Blinking rapidly to keep the aforementioned water from leaking from her eyes, she sniffed.] Why what? 's nothing. Nevermind. D'you know... I think you're s'posed to pretend not to notice the tears. Courtesy or chivalry or whatever.
[Right. She could handle this. She could. With a little bit of deflection.] Does that happen to you a lot, then? Meetin' people who immediately go an' off themselves?
