It was easy to get lost in the big city. He felt like it had already swallowed him up whole and spat him out again. He didn't know how Tod could ever be comfortable in this concrete world, maybe he knew his friend less than he thought he did.

It had to be done though, didn't it? He was a stranger in this place, no one knew him or cared to get to know him, and he had a pocketful of cash to blow. Or... to get blown. That was the plan, right? And if it was some guy with a face that of he closed his eyes he could imagine was his best friend... That was okay too, he guessed.

OMG!! XD Murphy's so going to have to confess after this... Even MORE now.

Things were rough. It was getting colder, groceries were more expensive and they couldn't just keep asking for scraps of meat at the packing plant. Resourcefullness, that's what this is.

Hopefully, after a couple of weeks, he'll make enough to not have to come back to this street in a while. Maybe he will even make enough to buy Connor his bathtub.

He spots the other man, but it's dark and it's hard to figure his features. Before other men approach him, Murphy steps closer, cassualy.

"Lookin' fer someone?"

The voice makes him start, even though he saw the guy approaching and hoped that this was some rentboy looking for business, and not someone about to mug him. Now that he's right near him though, he's half hoping the guy has a knife or something.

"Eh...." He glances around and lowers his head. "... Yeah...?"
