Nothing anyone can do. *He mumbled his response before his eyes widened. Before he had a chance to explain he was leaning in towards her and slipping an arm around her waist, dragging her up against him. There was a guy opposite eyeing Rachel, obviously wondering why she wasn't dressed the part but wanting to take her 'services'. With Sam holding her - an usual face now in the dingy area and known for his 'job' - it made it clear Rachel wasn't for sale.* I'm taking you home and than please, don't come here again. *He whispered in her ear, putting on a smirk as he did to make it look like he was trying to tempt her.* Pretend you're paying me and we can go.

[Rachels eyes widened slightly when he pulled her close & she quickly tried to hide it. She let out a slow breath & pulled out some money from her purse & handed it to him.]

*Sam took the money from her and let out a quiet breath. Drawing back, he slipped a hand around one of hers and began to walk with her. He didn't know if she had a car here or not but either way he had to get her home and out of this place.*

I don't remember if Rachel drives or not, lol

[Rachel kept herself quiet & didn't look at anyone else. She glanced down at him holding her hand & forced back a small smile. Once they were out, she walked to get a taxi.]

I think she does buy either works!

*Sam flagged down a taxi and, after a moment of hesitation, gestured her in first, and followed. He reeled off her adress to the driver - he'd remembered from the party there the year before - and carefully let go of her hand. He put the money back in his hand and tipped his head down, looking at his shirt in silence.*

*Sam stared down at their hands when she touched his and he let out a silent breath. His eyes he blinked to fight back the way he felt them water. He was so ashamed of what he did and he hated that she had seen him like this.* Please don't tell people.

Right. *Except he couldn't. He didn't want to admit his shame even if she had seen for herself. He didn't want to admit why or what he did. He just wanted to get her home and return to work as if nothing had happened.*
