[Nope, this isn't at all awkward for Ben, standing here outside a cheap motel room with a bagful of bacon cheeseburgers and fries in one hand, beer in the other hand, and a pilfered library book tucked away in the backpack slung over his shoulder.

Whatever. Might as well get this over with. Whatever exactly this turns out to be.

Cradling the beers in the crook of his elbow, Ben shifts the burgers over to that side as well, then brings his free hand up to rap his knuckles against the door.]

[Dean's in there trying to get some sleep, but it's not working too well for him. He grumbles at the knocking on the door and rolls over in hopes it will go away, but when it doesn't he stumbles his way to his feet and towards the door.]

[If it wasn't for the fact that there is a black 60-something Chevy Impala sitting out in the parking lot - more like sticking out in the middle of a herd of Hondas and Toyotas - Ben would have turned around and left the way he came long before now. But unless Sam and his brother decided to take an evening stroll and leave the car behind, Ben's hoping that there's a chance at least one of them is here at the motel.

C'mon, it's not that late. And so Ben tries knocking again.]
