Yeah it does. Sometimes they need to be reminded of that.

He can be rather insulting too, without meaning so. I don't think he has a particular social filter. It's likely set aside to store all the other information in his head.

[Rose got a very unladylike snort. Seriously, it sounded exactly like the Doctor.]

Are you sure your mate's not the Doctor or sometimes he goes by John Smith.

I promise he isn't a Doctor, nor is he John Smith. He's the very distinctive Sherlock Holmes, consulting detective of London!

[Rose still wondered if he was some kind of Time Lord that the Doctor didn't know about.]

Not too distinctive. [She continued to snicker.] He's a lot like the Doctor.

Normally, I wouldn't have said such a thing, but he really is brilliant. He's trained his brain to work in such a way that he can see things most people overlook, broadened his perspective, a little. Though, not socially.

What is your Doctor like?

He's brilliant, like your friend Sherlock, he sees things that people don't see. Though sometimes he doesn't see what's right in front of him.

[She smiles fondly]

Loves to laugh and adventure. I don't think he really comes alive unless someone's chasing us.

[Rose laughs.]

Tell you the truth, that bits one of my favorite parts, too.

[Mary can't help but smile a little enviously. She's always dreamt of adventure, but prior obligations keep her in good old London.]

Well, I'm certainly intrigued, if you wouldn't mind telling me more about it!

Wouldn't mind it at all. [Rose assured her and motioned for her to follow her over to an alcove where they could sit and get comfortable.]
