Fuck snow. He should have just stayed in the south. Stupid freaking haunted cabin in the middle of the freaking woods in the middle of freaking North Dakota.
On the bright said, aforementioned cabin should be ghost-free now. On the down side, the roads are positively covered in snow. There's no way he's chancing wrecking the Impala to get some place with actual heating, as much as he wants to, so it's time to resort to what he's got. One old stone fire place and an ass load of blankets. Thank god for the ancient chopped wood stacked outside- he dragged in a wheelbarrow full, unrolled his bedroll in front of the fireplace, and huddled in the few blankets he'd had stashed in the trunk.
Sun was going down, and it was getting colder, and he was already shivering.
This was going to suck balls.]

[Castiel said from across the cabin for the upteenth time that night. They were snowed in to the cabin and Dean had negated the angels suggestion of leaving the Impala and going to town for safety. Once again Dean had mentioned his stomach problems when it came to the angels flying and refused.
Giant child.
The angel actually found the snow to be quiet pretty. It was calming, gave a clean sheet over the woods making it a blank canvas. Cas enjoyed it immensely but all he head was Dean complaining about the fact that he was cold and how there was no God.
Having been sitting in the window the angel turned, looking over at Dean who was huddled in a mountain of blankets in front of the sad little fire. The angel quirked the corner of his mouth in a little smile.]
....Are you quiet warm?
Reply
[Dean rolled his eyes, didn't bother glancing over his shoulder at the nagging angel. No, thank you. He'd rather freeze to death than hitch a ride on Angel Airlines. Half a second or not, flying was flying, and it made him feel queasy.
Sure, Cas. Snow was pretty. It was pretty while it sucked the heat and life out of everything. If there was such thing as God, he wouldn't be cruel enough to invent snow and then freaking drown Dean in it. Fuck snow and the horse it road in on.]
No, thank you very much for asking, smartass. I'm freezing my balls off, here.
[Not all of us were inhuman ice-resistant bags of perpetual warmth. His teeth were practically chattering, and he scooted as close as he could without the risk of setting his blankets on fire.]

Humans.
And you are being over dramatic, Dean. Fire isn't that bad. Also snow doesn't ride horses.
The angel rolled his eyes, pushing away from the window and strided over to where Dean was huddled. With a frown Castiel began to take off his trench coat and folded it over the back of the couch.]
Open up your blankets, Dean.

Obviously, a hatred for flying isn't one of them. Maybe if Cas were human and risked the possibility of death via plummeting thousands of feet in the air, he might understand. Obviously, that's not gonna happen any time soon.
Angels.
Dean's eyes widened when Cas stripped off his coat. What the hell- it was like negative five degrees in here, why the hell was he stripping? Dean was cold enough already without feeling sympathy pains for poor Jimmy's frozen nipples.
He tugged his blankets closer, eyeing the angel warily.]
Why? You know I don't like mojo without permission.
Reply
Hey now, don't knock flying. Its when Castiel feels the freest. If you didnt have a crippling fear of death via airplane then you might enjoy it.
Oh Dean. Jimmy wasn't going to freeze his nipples off. The angels body was full of energy, grace from the high heaven above. And that made Jimmy's body run at a warmer temperature. If Castiel allowed it he could feel like a little space heater. Which was what he was doing ight now.]
I am not going to 'mojo' you.
[Air quotes. The angel squatted down on the ground and took a hold of one of Deans arms, prying it open. Yeah super awesome angelic strength! And then with out another word the angel climbed in to Deans little fortress of solitude and parked himself right next to Dean, pressing in close to the hunters side. Castiel was warm, warm enough that the heat was now ( ... )

He was being arranged like a rag doll, and before he knew it, ended up clinging like a girl to Cas's radiator-like body. He fixed the blankets back, and Dean blinked.]
...Okay, that is kinda better actually. But that's beside the point- I'm not a freaking girl, man.
[...Which didn't mean he was going to pull away. Cas was driving the ice straight out of his bones.]
It's like a scene straight out of friggin' Twilight.

[Castiel shot back shifting as he tugged the blanket closer around him. Dean complained, as usual, but he wasn't pulling away. He sat there, cuddling to the angel and kept trying to convince himself in his mind that e hated being in such a position. Cas knew the truth however.
Dean loved it.
Turning his gaze the angel raised a brow at the hunter]
For someone who claims to hate the books so you seem to reference it quite a lot.

Dean raised up a hand beneath the blanket, letting out a noise of protest.]
Nuh-uh, calling me a girl's one thing, but don't you dare call me a TwiHard. That's just too far, dude.
[When he settled back, he did it with maybe a little too comfortably.
That didn't mean he loved it. That just meant he was cold, and Cas was annoyingly comfortable. Shut up.]
Reply
Again Cas just stared at Dean with a skeptical look.]
... How do you even know what that means.
[Yeah, Cas was convinced. Dean liked to spend his nights curled up under a blanket crying about why Edward wouldn't just let Bella love him.
As Dean settled back down Cas did so as well. He closed his eyes and leaned his head on the hunters shoulder, relaxing seemingly in the mans arms.]
Worry not, Dean. I will not tell anyone. You have my word.
Reply
[That's all he's going to say about that. He huffs, but stays pressed against Castiel's side. Because these blankets are small. And because he's warm. And okay, he's really comfortable, shit. It's a good thing they've already spent the night in a bed together, otherwise sleeping tonight would be really awkward.
It probably will be already, because Dean's going to have to cling to him like some holy hot water bottle.
A second goes by, and he... maybe rests his head against the top of Castiel's. Just because it's there, and convenient, and the first person that laughs is going to get shot.]

There was no need to mention how Dean may have been clinging to him. Castiel knew that Dean could be very picky and skittish when it came to intimate settings such as these. So Castiel remained silent for his friends sake. Dean needed the warmth. The last thing Cas needed right now was to remind that they were totally cuddling, and this was not the first cuddling experience they had. And that Cas actually liked do such a human act, as like sleeping, with Dean.
No one is going to laugh at you, Dean. Trust me.
Cas likes you too much. ]

Sitting there in front of a fire, with his arms wrapped around Castiel's shoulder and chest, with his head laying on top of that messy bedhead, it's... it's scary comfortable. Seriously, like the most comfortable he's been in weeks. That should just... so not be the case, but all he can really feel is his heartbeat and calm. And they're very close. Like, if Cas turned his head, they'd practically be kissing. That's just.
He doesn't even want to think about that.
Quick, start a conversation, change the subject.]
Man, you are just... taking leaps and bounds towards humanity, you know that, right? Pizza, movie night, sleeping, now this? Hell, you haven't had a stick in your ass in days. What gives?
Reply
Its super effective!
Castiel was fine with the clinging. Dean needed warmth, gender didn't really affect the angel. Nor did sexual orientation. This was just the angel helping Dean when no one else would.
Slowly the angel opened his eyes, the fire seeming to dance off those all too blues.
Why was he doing this? Did he feel guilty about Sam and his betrayal? Was he trying to prove something to Dean? Was he trying to make Dean realize that even though he left Lisa and Ben behind he wasn't alone?
The angel licked his lips, watching the fire still as he remained rooted to the spot.]
I do enjoy mundane human interaction. It is a good distraction from reality.
There was never a stick in my ass , Dean.
