[Oh bloody hell! One moment he was chatting with John and the next he knew, he was being shoved into a closet. He's about to reach for the door when he hears a voice.] Hello. Did you get shoved in here, too?
[When the woman bumps into him, Greg quickly wraps his arms around her petite body. She sounds familiar and he furrows his brow as he tries to place her voice.] I thought I could come here and have myself a beer, then go home. Guess I was wrong.
[Hello, handsome-sounding stranger in the dark. Your voice is familiar but your embrace is sensually distracting from trying to place who you are...
Molly gasps, lifting her head and trying to make out his features in the dimly lit closet] O-Oh my god.... Detective Inspector?
[[OOC: I'm never sure whether or not Molly's familiar enough with him to call him Greg or just Lestrade. Up to you in this instance - can always pretend she has a habit of slipping into formality or something]]
Yes, it's me. And, I think you can call me Greg since we're sort of stuck in a closet together. [He smiles a bit even though he's sure she can't see him.] Do you know who shoved us in here?
[[ooc: Whichever you're comfortable with. :) I've always assumed they worked together before canon started.]
Right. G-Greg. [He's always insisting that she can drop the formality with him, that they've worked on enough cases together. It's an old habit of hers that she has a hard time dropping.] Sorry. Keep forgetting.
Um....no, I...I have no idea. I was just talking to Caroline and having a few drinks and then...I was here.
It's all right. [He realizes he's still holding her and carefully unwraps his arms from her.]
I was chatting with John, and suddenly I was in here. Some of the blokes were talking about some game called Seven Minutes in Heaven, and I think Donovan said I should do it. I don't even know what game that is.
[Well, now he feels kind of stupid, and really old for not knowing what the game is. And by the sound of Molly's voice, he's beginning to wonder if it's a good thing.]
I...erm, no?
[He's tempted to pull his phone out and look it up so he doesn't look like a complete git, but she'd see the light so he just stands there, and waits for her to tell him.]
[Oh, poor Greg - Molly doesn't mean to make you feel like that, it's just sort of embarrassing to discuss with a colleague like this.....]
It's, uh... it's a game. That you play, where you're put into a closet with someone and you're...s-supposed to snog them. For at least seven minutes. You...can't leave the closet until you do. I-I mean, some people like to use it to do...other things, but.... [Oh thank goodness it's not well-lit in here. She feels like she's bright as a tomato right now.]
[Oh, it's that game. He's played it before, but it wasn't called that. It was more like 'Throw the stupidest bloke in the closet with the ugliest girl, and make them snog'. And Greg was usually the one getting thrown in.]
I played it when I was younger. A-And just so you know, you don't have to do anything with me. We can just stand here until time is up.
[If he could see her blush, he'd think it was beautiful since she's beautiful.]
Ah, so you...do know it. [Yeah, she's just going to fidget with her hair now. It's one of the few thing she has control over in their environment right now] Oh, a-alright. That's um, that's kind of you. [Why would he want to do anything with her, anyway? Molly's had a bit of lowered self-esteem lately when it comes to men]
[Meanwhile, she's going to spend the next seven minutes or so trying not to think about the last time she was actually with anyone, or what Greg Lestrade might've been like when he was younger. It isn't until her mobile phone beeps, indicating low battery, that she digs it out of her pocket and sees how much time has passed] Um...Greg? It's...been more than seven minutes.
[His words surprise her. So much so that she has to actually think them over while the time passes. Did he actually...hint that he wouldn't be opposed to something with her?
She reaches to put her hand on his arm. She just means to stop him temporarily in order to get his attention] Wait.
I-I'm not. You're...probably the nicest company I've ever had in a closet. [There's a brief pause and she laughs sheepishly] And that's probably the silliest thing I've ever said to a man.

[Molly tries to wade through the hanging coats, and ends up bumping into the other man. With a strangely familiar voice...] ...Some party, hm?

[And suddenly dawns on him...]
Molly?

Oh, oh my god, I was just joking with Caroline about..that game. I mean, I-I haven't played it since my university days or anything b-but..
You...seriously don't know what it is?

When she says seven minutes are up, he nods and starts to reach for the doorknob.] I'm sorry you got stuck in here with me.

Thanks. You were good company, too. {He shakes his head and reaches up to touch her cheek, while hoping he doesn't poke her in the eye.]
It's not silly. It's rather sweet of you to say.
