♡ It's ♥ Valentine's ♥ Day~! ♡

But this year, no cards, no flowers, no candy, no Hallmark moments.
This year, it's being celebrated the old-fashioned way.

1. Flip a coin for the Gold or the Lead.
2. Decide whether you've been hit or the person tagging you has been hit.
(Or have you both gotten lucky?)
3. RNG for a love-type from Gold or Lead ( Read more... )

Yay. I have not had this much fluff in such a long time. *squishhugs* thediamondqueen February 19 2012, 10:18:26 UTC
[These stolen moments were sweeter for the fact they were stolen, were secrets between a Queen and an Ace, between Rachel and Cadogan, that no one ever properly knew about.

No one but them, of course. And that was definitely enough.]

Lead-4. King!Adrien all the way. black0and0white February 15 2012, 16:46:01 UTC
((She's beautiful. She's horrible. He wants to kiss her. He also wants to pull out a knife and stab her in the back.

She's his Queen. She's the bane of his existence.

Which is why he's standing in her doorway in the middle of the day, just watching her work, and caught between an urge to press his lips to hers and to throw her out of a window.))

[Sometimes she wonders how it came to this-- to being surrounded by male Face Cards, to deviating so far from The Plan she had created of an all-female-run Suit. It makes her even angrier, bitterer than she was before, knowing that this is not what she had wanted in the least.

So, as per usual, her tone is only a hair from biting when she glances up and raises a brow at him.]

Is there something you need, my Lord?

Not at all, my Queen. Just checking in to see... how you're faring.

((The fakeness of his polite words seeps through, at least to his mind. He pushes himself off the doorway and approaches her desk, fingers tapping a beat along the side of it. That is just to annoy her.))

[Of course it is. And while most wouldn't be able to tell the flicker of annoyance from the impassiveness of her expression, the slight tightening of her fingers around the pen will likely be a tell to him.]

As I am certain you can tell, things are going perfectly well. I anticipate having this latest set of paperwork done within the half-hour.

Ever so productive, dear. I'm so impressed. ((He walks around the desk, then hoists himself up to sit on the wood surface as she continues to work.))

We need to discuss the future of the Suit.

I do try.

[His sitting on the desk is met with an only barely-contained irritation and a raised brow.]

Is that so?

We need more Tens and Nines who are men.

((No, it's not enough for him that all the Face Cards are male, save the Queen. It's not anywhere near enough.))

[Just as it's not enough for her that so many of the higher Cards are now women. What was the point of having people so close to the positions when they didn't take them?]

I do believe we have plenty of Tens and Nines as is. We wouldn't want to become top-heavy, after all.

If the existing Sevens and Eights challenge up... our current Tens and Nines can stand to be replaced.

((No woman would take their spots. Adrien was sure of that - he made sure of that.))

But I don't see why there's any need for that. Avery, Säde and the rest are perfectly capable.

They will be perfectly capable of performing as Sevens and Sixes as well, love. I can guarantee it.

But they'd be far more better in the ranks they're already in, don't you think?

But darling, my darling - if they can handle the work of a Ten, then giving them the work of an Eight should be a reward, shouldn't it?

Hardly. The rank of Ten is an incredibly honorable one, one those currently possessing it have worked hard to achieve and which they rightly deserve. [At least, they deserved it if they couldn't be Face Cards anymore.]
