06 - oh Thor, so awkward

[she reminds him of the lady Sif in some ways, and yet.. Thor gets the distinct impression he cannot handle Natasha with quite the same brashness.

So when they return to base after a sucessful blowout, he doesn't firmly slap her back as he would with Sif or any male warrior. He lets it alight, as gentle as he can, on her shoulder. Squeezes once] Job well done, my fri - lady - Natasha.

[Natasha appreciated the fact that Thor didn't handle her roughly, but there was a certain amount of amusement that showed in her expression when it clicked at he was purposefully trying to be gentle. She had no wish for him to alter himself around her, even if she didn't want to wind up with a bruised back just from a congratulatory slap.

Still, her eyes shone with a mischievousness as she reached around behind him to slap him on the behind like sportsmen would out on the field.] Thank you, Thor. And I am your friend you know. You don't have to keep the formality.

[a slow smirk forms on his lips at the slap and he ducks his head, almost a bow to her in acknowledgement of this] Understood... now. We must report in, I suppose. [which he finds rather tedious - they got the job done, so why talk about it?]

There's no rush. I'm fairly certain no one would notice if we got waylaid in some manner. [She took his hand, tilting her head away from SHIELD HQ. She's not always so keen to rush the paperwork even if she does at least always get it completed.] Let's have some fun first. Celebrate.

[Thor nods slowly, blinking just once. Fun? Was she suggesting.. perhaps a friendly bout? He looked down at her hand and then up at her, confused] Ah, if you are sure...

[Natasha moved to face him properly and arched an eyebrow slightly as she read his confusion.] Hey, where's that mind gone? I'm talking dancing or drinking or just you giving me a piggy back ride. Anything that helps to burn off the adrenaline. Get your mind out of the gutter. [But she winked at him, not entirely adverse to a "friendly bout", but it wasn't as if they were ready for that yet. Were they?]

[he had not... Thor shakes his head, the hand by his side again now. He can feel the warmth from hers still and smiles] I did not mean anything untoward, I assure you.

[a frown] I do not dance.. but drink. Are you sure you wish to challenge me?

[And she can still feel the strength of his pressed in against her skin, lingering like a ghost. She bit back a grin, turning on her heel already to lead him to a bar.] I know you didn't, you've always been a gentleman with me.

[The red head smirked at him from over her shoulder.] I'm Russian. You're soon about to learn just how much we can drink compared to the Americans.

Which is the only reason you will probably beat me, but I still intend to make it hard for you. [She flicked her hair with a laugh, hips moving more with a sway than they did in the battle field.]

So long as it is not slung over your shoulder like a rag doll. [She gave him a sideways look as her lips curved into another grin of amusement.] But do not claim your victory just yet, Thor. Shall we make it even more interesting and make a wager?

[he won't be thinking of that - it's only practical that he would have done it, in his defence! He nods firmly] What wager is this?

[Natasha shrugged a shoulder, keeping stride with him despite their differences in stature.] I don't now, that's why I'm asking. Just something to make this more interesting.

IOU? [Natasha laughed softly as she shook her head slightly. She usually traded in information but Thor had told her plenty about Asgard without her needing to coax it out of him. There were no other secrets she wished to pull from him at this time. Which is why she went for something simple.] No, no IOUs. But you could take me out to dinner. A proper meal well away from the Avengers for one night.
