[Quinn doesn't know if he'll listen, especially after the bad breakup they'd had. But, she has to try. When she sees him, she takes a deep breath before going over.]

[Dex smirks around his next sip, tipping the beer bottle to his lips. To him, there's nothing to talk about except the practical so he just shrugs] If it's about the stuff you left at mine, relax. I even folded up the clothes for once. You still have the key, Quinn. Come whenever.

[Quinn sighs, wishing he would at least look at her. The misunderstanding that led to the break up is bad, but she thinks it can be fixed.] It's not about my things. I want to talk about us.

[he glanced over then, because that was new] Thought you said there was no 'us' anymore.. no, I specifically remember you shouting that at me. [a smirk] While you accused me of cheating on you.

[She lets out a defeated sign and rubs her fingers over her forehead.] You have to admit, it did look like you were cheating on me. But, I'm over that now, and I want to apologize for it.

Like Hell I'm gonna admit shit. It looked like that to you, Quinn, so you believed it. [he said, turning to toss the rag he had gotten out to clean the oil from the inside of the engine off, away] Well.. go ahead. Not that I want it... [it was never what he wanted. She was the one who accused, they fought.. who dumped who didn't matter. It was over, and now she comes out of nowhere with this?]

[Quinn steps away from the car, her arms folding over her chest. She doesn't want to fight with him, but he's making it impossible. There's a deep breath as she tries to calm herself.] I'm sorry I accused you of something you didn't do.

...Okay. [his voice is soft, and despite himself, he supposes.. he accepts. That he did want this. Dex looks up at her] I'm sorry I blew up about it... [he guesses it didn't help his case. But - Quinn being so insecure? It didn't seem possible. Had she ever looked in the mirror? Any douche of a guy would be an idiot to cheat on her even without... caring about her this way. And to think.. he actually thought --] Sorry, too.

[She's glad he accepts the apology since it's one of the reasons she came. Her track record of cheating, and being cheated on, isn't great and she hates herself for believing the rumor mill when it comes to Dex. He's always treated her with respect, and she flew off the handle as much as he did.] You have nothing to apologize for. I was the one who did the blaming, not you. I guess I was just--.

[She stops herself from making any excuses for her behavior. There are no excuses for what she's done.] You know, I still care about you.

I know, but I shoulda handled it better. It's okay to say it. [and admitting it took a load off. He tilted his head at those words] Me, too. Must be why I didn't just throw your stuff out, huh? [he had to tease.. the tension between them, this atmosphere still here. Though it wasn't unpleasant anymore... He took a step towards her]

[She softly laughs at his teasing, and nods her head. When he takes a step toward her, she raises an eyebrow and takes a step, too.] Are we going to be okay now?

Yeah, we.. we were okay before. [he just hadn't wanted to put it out there in case she took advantage. She's not intentionally mean, but when people are hurt.. they can change. Dex reached and took her hand, squeezing it lightly] So.. uh. Friends?

[When he says the dreaded word 'friends', her heart sinks. Quinn doesn't want to be friends. She wants him back, yet she doesn't know how to vocalize it.] If that's what you want.

Is it what you want? [he asked, unsure. His voice softer than intended because.. yeah. This was scary]
