Martha had just finished her beautiful warm, steamy shower. Sadly, this meant the mirror was fogged up so she couldn't look over her back for the cut she knew was going to be there. It had stung pretty badly when the water hit it.

Instead she wrapped a towel around her head and made her way to the full length mirror in her bedroom. Yep... there was the cut... from shoulder blade to waist. It didn't look deep, but it was going to take a lot of stitches...

Stupid creature with sharp objects.

When Sam accidentally walked in on Martha, he didn't know what to say. At first, he was more or less stopped in his tracks over the fact that whoops, I walked in on her while she's, um... and it took no more than a second to process that he really shouldn't have been in here!

And then he noticed the cut. That instantly changed his flustered, bumbling expression to one of concern.

"What happened??"

Relatively neutral because I don't know if they know each other or not... notrosesshadow January 7 2012, 01:05:48 UTC
Martha saw the door open, as the mirror was attached to it. She didn't have enough time to find cover when Sam walked in, so her expression showed both fear and indignation.

"Bloody hell! We knock in England!" she cried out as she grabbed the towel from her head and wrapped it around her body. Bloodstains on a towel... whatever.

"Some... creature. Not quite sure what. Not going to be able to stitch it up myself though."

She was still staring rather wide-eyed at him... and her heart was still going a mile a minute, which wasn't doing much for the blood seeping out of the wound. She could have sworn she had locked the door, but clearly she hadn't.

I was writing as if they sort of did? |D; alwaysgetthepie January 7 2012, 05:34:11 UTC
He looks more horrified now, not from seeing her body, but from seeing the damage that had been done. It had been a while since he'd seen a cut so deep, it sort of stopped him and resulted in more staring than anything. So, by now, she could totally hit him or cuss him out, whatever, for not breaking that line of sight he has going on.

"Did you want some help?"

Martha backs up and clutches the towel tighter around herself. "Sam? I'm going to be fine enough for the next few minutes. I'd like to put pants on before anyone takes a look at it."

She's embarrassed. The ruddiness in her cheeks betrays that. But she's also aware that she does need to get the cut taken care of. Still... barging in on her while she's indecent... not a way to ingratiate oneself with her.
