Flynn Scifo || Tales of Vesperia || Het for romance, but OTA for CR divine_streak December 24 2011, 08:32:09 UTC
[WARNING: Flynn is the single most worst cook in his world. Whatever he makes will be the most absolute gorgeous looking thing in all of creation, but it will feel as though your tastebuds have been violated in every sense of the word.

You have been warned.]

The flour and sugar should be right in the cabinet. Could you get some water boiling, too?

[It's nice to have a real kitchen to cook in. He's not really sure about having a student, but--well, why not? The kid is nice enough, and polite. And he's certainly had plenty of experience with at least dango, when it comes to sweets. Itachi loves them. It's just too bad it's so rare that they have the right ingredients on hand..... Even now, he's hunting down the mirin and dashi.]

Yes. [He's a dutiful little helper, apron tied back and everything. It'd taken several moments to justify removing his cloak, but in the end, he rationalized that he didn't want to get anything on it.

Faize moves to the cabinet, peering through the contents for said ingredients and pulls them out- flour and powdered sugar anyway. He sets them down on the counter near where Kisame's working and searches through for an appropriate pot]

Ah.. how much water will we need to boil?

It doesn't really matter. We'll need a little over a cup, maybe a cup and a half, for the dough and sauce--but the rest we'll be letting the dough boil in. So long as there's enough for it to float, it'll be fine; the measuring cup's in the cabinet above the sink, I think.

[He withdraws from the pantry to help Faize find the pot, doing a double take at the ingredients on the counter. Powdered sugar? That's not right at all. And he hadn't even realized there was grain flour in here to begin with. Only rice flour would be glutinous enough for this to work out well at all; this looks like a disaster waiting to happen.]

.....Actually.....

[Well, it's not like Faize would know to begin with. And it's a big difference with a very small change in name. How would the kid even keep it in his head without a reason? He's sure Faize would be fine if he had a reminder, but ( ... )
