[Claire felt like the best wifey ever, having scored an iPad to put under the tree for Sam. Not only that, but she saw this and thought it'd be a cool accessory to go with it.

So there were two special boxes under the tree, two boxes that she just could wait until Christmas to let him open.] Sam! I know it's not Christmas yet but you gotta open these now. The bigger one first. [The bigger one was, of course, the iPad.]

But it's not Christmas. *Sam laughed though and of course, he wasn't actually going to argue getting to open up a present or two before it. He was excited and always very much a big kid at Christmas.* Okay, okay. But that means you'll have to open some of yours, too. *He took hold of the present she directed him to and, before he could even tell her which she was allowed to open, his eyes went wide.* For real?!

Yes, for real. I'm too excited to wait. [She was bouncing, grinning widely. The best part about Christmas was making him happy. And now their little boy, even if he was still a little too young to know what was going on just yet.]
