There were no harpies. There was no cereal falling from the sky. There was no sign of peas and clover being in any kind of cabinet anywhere

Boo was giving Minsc a look soon after they got there, causing Minsc to sigh and roll his eyes.
"Okay, okay," he said. "I get it, I get it. Not only do you get to sew, but now they're serving your new favourite food, too. I won't try to convince you not to come anymore, Boo."
It should also be noted that Boo was giving Minsc that look from amid a sea of hearts, stars and horseshoes, clovers and blue moons. Pots of gold and rainbows, and a red balloon.

"Why, yes!" Minsc announced proudly, squaring his shoulders. "It is! But not just any hamster, you know...." He trailed off, leaving the opening to wow the pretty lady even more...well, open.

"Well that's good because he's sitting in a bowl of food," Lindsay replied though she doubtfully thought anyone would eat the cereal after a hamster was in it. "How does one train a hamster to eat Lucky charms anyway?"
Re: Mingling and RefreshmentsberserkerminscMarch 18 2009, 16:44:13 UTC
"I think he just sort of picked it up," Minsc said, arching a eyebrow at the woman. "You know, when it was falling from the sky yesterday."
He was, of course, in no way, really suggesting that a very clean hamsters sitting in the middle of the bowl wasn't the only thing wrong with the bowl of Lucky Charms.
Besides, anyone who ever drank from any punch bowl at any school event had done so probably with at least a little flavour of Boo added.

"He rather came that way," Minsc said, brusquely bristling with the insult to his hamsters hygene habits. "He is a giant miniature space hamster, you know. I should say they take care of things like that rather early as do we."
"Assuming, my lady, that you are housebroken?"
Hey. Minsc had learned to never assume such things with some people.
Re: Mingling and RefreshmentsberserkerminscMarch 18 2009, 17:54:18 UTC
"I am just saying," Minsc held out his hands in defense. "Me asking you that question is no different than you asking that question of Boo. He is not your average hamster, my lady."

"In a bar!" Minsc said, happily oblivious to the fact that this location did not likely help his case. "In...Baldur's Gate, I think it was. It is hard to remember, exactly, as I have been in many taverns all over Faerûn."
"Okay, okay," he said. "I get it, I get it. Not only do you get to sew, but now they're serving your new favourite food, too. I won't try to convince you not to come anymore, Boo."

"What? Of course I'm... Why wouldn't you think I'm... Okay, that's just nuts. Yes, I'm housebroken!"
Which isn't exactly how she wanted to put it but...

Sometimes. After all, if they were talking about Minsc, you basically did get exactly what you were looking at.

"Uh-huh. And where did you find this... giant-miniature thing?"
