Miss Bennet was trying not to stare.

Miss Bennet was doing quite poorly, at trying not to stare.

"Has Boo discovered a new habitat?" she asked.

"He rather likes sitting in things," Minsc said with a shrug. "Especially food things. How do you do, Lady Elizabeth?"

That last bit, while seeming to be tacked on suddenly in a realization that he should try to be as proper as possible around her, was said with a good deal of struggled sincerity.

"What ... fascinating things we learn, from giant miniature space hamsters," Eliza allowed, amazed that she said all of that with a straight expression. "I am well, I thank you, and yourself?"

"It's like something fascinating every day with Boo!" Minsc announced proudly, beaming at Lady Elizabeth a little with the nervousness that went along with trying to be impressive in ways that didn't involve hacking things into tiny, bloody, sometimes screaming pieces. "And I am quite well, too! It is a lovely evening, even if there are no things to fight this time."

"I confess, I prefer the evenings when there is nothing to fight," Miss Bennet smiled. "Though I suppose that sounds dreadfully boring to you."

"No, it is okay!" Minsc assured Lady Elizabeth, quickly and firmly. "The less you fight, the more I can!"

It was a statement that only made sense if you didn't think about it more than two seconds.

"I like fighting. I can like fighting enough for the both of us!"

"I am honoured to be under your protection," she said, bowing her head quite solemnly.

That wasn't quite what he said, but it seemed to follow, and it put everything on such chivalrous grounds.

And it did make him smile a little, although it also partly made Minsc want to warn her that that might not be such a good idea...

...and he didn't exactly want to promise anything, either, since he messed that sort of thing up so bad in the past.

So he just nodded a little, cleared his throat uncomfortably, and asked, "So are you glad to have another successful Stitch'n'Bitch, my lady?"

Miss Bennet was going to pause for a few moments and keep her decorum. A lady was composed. A lady was elegant. A nice, deep breath in, and a slow exhale.

"I am quite delighted that we've gathered to sew and socialise once more, yes," she said, carefully not agreeing with ... what he seemed to consider the name.

It was a good name! Sir Deadpool agreed! They were going to make t-shirts!

Minsc nodded happily. "Good, good. As am I. Boo rather enjoys it and I don't nearly mind having to escort him with such lovely company!"
