ARE YOU & AL TRYING TO KILL US ALL???pomdterOctober 24 2007, 20:18:46 UTC
>>Do I think we should clean up anyway? Obviously!
All it takes is another Krakatoa and a few sunspots and the human race is back into starvation mode! We need to do all that we can to prevent the "climate change" that has killed tens of thousands and run thousands of species into extinction! If you really care about the environment you'll cut down every tree you can find and set it ablaze! Right now we're at the dangerously low level of CO2 in the atmosphere of 0.04%. We need to double it just to keep the next ice age from reaching Miami - and get it even higher if we want to still be able to grow food!

Heh.
I have no idea what you're talking about, but it is amusing.
In my defense, I don't just mean CO2 emissions. I mean research and development of a variety of things to reduce the human impact on the environment worldwide. Waste into the water, chemical fertilizers, that sort of thing. On a small scale, disposable eating utensils made from potatoes instead of plastic is a fine example, assuming there isn't a corresponding downside I don't know about.
Breathing pollution is unfun. Chemicals in the air, if they can be avoided, doesn't seem a bad thing. Not so much the US, but other nations worldwide are such ridiculous about it all. Mexico dumps all kinds of sewage into water that hits CA. Giant clouds of pollution hover over Asia.
If we can be clean, efficiently, and our economy is unharmed or improved, all the better.
