Even if Moore won, that would've gave Democrats ammo. Franken and Conyers were the fall men to make the left look like they're doing something about sexual harassment (as its definition keeps changing) so then they can use whataboutisms to bring up Moore and Trump. The timing of the accusations against Moore were to where they couldn't take his name off the ballot.

The way I see it, the GOP couldn't win either way. The midterms might get ugly next year if the Alabama Senate race indicates anything.
