Why do they keep getting away with it? The scary thing is that people like Holder can do anything without consequence, so we'll continue to see more of these scandals with no justice.

I hope they stand firm on budget negotiations. McCain is one of those who should have retired before I was born.

I don't know that Holder can do this "without consequence." He doesn't have to be impeached to be prosecuted.

What I mean is that they keep hiding and delaying evidence, and when someone on the right tries to get the facts out, the media calls them kooks and conspiracy theorists. Then Obama is so confident he can get away with everything that he doesn't even make Holder go into quiet retirement and get someone else. The sycophants on the left even managed to blame fast and furious on Bush!

They keep getting away with it because the "watch dogs" of the establishment media become lap dogs when Dems are involved. Imagine the response had this been John Ashcroft accused of this during GWB's tenure. Look at all the crap they hurled at Ashcroft, and for what? He had one bare titty of a statue covered, and it was like Armageddon.

The one and only good thing that comes from this is that the Big O and his minions are finally getting to the point of over reach. They've gotten away with so much, they "think" they can get away with anything. Even attacking their own lap dogs for not being totally subservient. They're beginning to finally rediscover their spines and fangs. The O-ster is going to have to throw them some red meat.

It is getting difficult to even keep track of the goings on at this point. *Something* has to stick.

It is.

You'd think. I remain pessimistic.

"Speaking on Senate floor on Thursday, a fed-up Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) scolded Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) over his objection to initiating House-Senate budget negations unless a debt limit increase is taken off the table. It’s a stance shared by another Tea Party favorite, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas). McCain lectured Lee over such a proposal, saying it would 'paralyze the process.'" GOOD! McCain is a progressive and dinosaur - He's a statist who considers himself royalty.

I had hopes for McCain in 2008. His acceptance speech looked like he understood, and was the man to purge the neo-"cons" from the GOP. Then he reverted true to form, despite his no longer having to play the go along to get along game. It was another pretty speech from a disingenuous politician who never meant a word of it. If he had truly meant what he said, we wouldn't be seeing stuff like this. Instead, he'd be right there fighting with Lee and Cruz, not against them ( ... )

That's an excellent point I will have to remember. Contrasting Presidential candidate McCain to McCain now really speaks volumes about how he's no different than Reid or any of the others.
