Here's why I cannot trust the CDC right now.
If you think this a small thing I don't know what to tell you. NO ONE talks like this. It is not a phrase in common use. It is a leftist/progressive/Obamunist slogan. That tells me one of two things. Either he is inserting the phrase for the benefit of those he supports/obeys, or he actually *thinks* like this. Neither option speaks to the well being of the country.
CDC Director: Obama Has "Leaned Forward" To Deal With Ebola Crisis If you point this out and a leftist sees it they will begin their exaggerated mockery. If you begin to doubt yourself (don't - a leftist mocking means you are probably on target), enjoy the following support of the observation.
The word "forward" in general, and Obama's use of it:
Washington Times:
New Obama slogan has long ties to Marxism, socialism "The Obama campaign apparently didn’t look backwards into history when selecting its new campaign slogan, 'Forward' - a word with a long and rich association with European Marxism.
Many Communist and radical publications and entities throughout the 19th and 20th centuries had the name 'Forward!' or its foreign cognates. Wikipedia has an entire section called 'Forward (generic name of socialist publications).'"
Mao, Lenin and a century of Marxist radicals: The controversial origins of Obama's new campaign slogan 'Forward' "which resulted in the deaths of millions.
'Spring Forward' was also a slogan used by Vladimir Lenin in Communist Russia."
"It has been used as the title of a large number of socialist publications, reflecting the Marxist conviction that the triumph of their ideology was an inevitable part of the progress of history."
Ever heard the phrase "[they or you] are on the wrong side of history"? Well now you know the source. Most of the herd animals using it don't even understand the origins or the implications of their using it. Now you do.
But wait! That's just the word "forward". Maybe it's a coincidence, or this is an entirely different thing! It's not...
Obama twice uses MSNBC slogan ‘Lean Forward’ while addressing disaster relief"'the private utilities are going to have to lean forward. [...]
I want you to figure out how we do something. I want you to cut through red tape, cut through bureaucracy. There is no excuse for inaction at this point. I want every agency to lean forward and to make sure we are getting the resources where they need'"
Got that? As a rule Obama doesn't speak unless he's reading a teleprompter. That means that uncommon phrase was twice deliberately inserted by his team.
(Two side notes: In the second usage he (and his handlers) seem to be defining it as getting things done by any means necessary.
The news never covered it because it would have hurt Obama, but Sandy relief was a clusterfuck. Was "lean forward" just the insertion of propaganda, or a message to use the opportunity to gain power while accomplishing little (the pattern of this "never let a good crisis go to waste" administration in all things big and small)? Who knows?)
If you don't believe history, and you don't believe my observation with Obama's use, here are leftists acknowledging its meaning.
Media voices addressing the common understanding of the symbolism of the phrase in regard to MSNBC,
MSNBC's new slogan: What does it even mean? HuffPo:
Phil Griffin, MSNBC President, Talks About New 'Lean Forward' Campaign "The campaign was described in an article in the New York Times as solidifying MSNBC's progressive identity. In an interview with the Huffington Post, MSNBC President Phil Griffin said he agrees with the Times' assertion - depending on what your definition of 'progressive' is."
That's acknowledgement from HuffPo and the NYT that "lean forward" is progressive. Shove that down the mocking leftist's throat.
(Side note: For any who still don't understand this, progressive = marxist. It might once have just meant oligarchy - authoritarian rule for your own good. Since Woodrow Wilson it is far left, and stands for the Marxist revolution and leftist rule, but by push, shove, "nudge" to get there instead of a direct, honest fight. It's all the failures of Marxism with built in deceit to get there.)
"If 'progressive' means 'we always want to do things bigger and better, to change, to be all things that we could be? Absolutely [it is an accurate description],' Griffin said. He stressed, however, that MSNBC's form of progressivism was not necessarily left-leaning."
Aaaaand MSNBC agreeing, with the addition of an example of that lying I was talking about.
