Favourite colours - what does it all mean?

I used to have a favourite colour. Well, favourite colours at particular stages of my life. And at each stage, it should be entirely different from my sister's.

She had always taken a liking to pink, so I naturally had to pick blue. Navy blue, to be exact, because, you know, the word 'navy' does sound kind of cool. Besides, it's slimming and goes
