I know, but in Kissena Park it's not exactly normal (Flushing Meadows Corona Park, on the other hand...). I really wanted to be there to watch the cops scratching their heads trying to figure out what it means...

You should drive up to the scene with The Magnetic Fields' "A Chicken With Its Head Cut Off" blasting from your car.

I thought about it. The Latino reporter I was talking to when the page arrived actually took off to go film the dead chickens. I thought our photographer was going to go, but she decided not to, and by the time I found out I was pretty sure the chickens were gone (likely destined for a spell on some cop's grill).

Hey -- I found your journal from a comment you made in the New Yorkers community. I live in the city but work as a reporter in CT, and I was just curious as to where you work. You can e-mail me through the LJ e-mail address in my profile.

And I agree that scanners can be very entertaining things. :P

I'll send you an email once this week's deadlines are out of the way -- we just got a memo that our deadlines have been moved up yet again, and I've got scary amounts of work to get done in less time. But what are you doing in CT? What sort of work do you do?
