For anyone who knows me, the second-place winner is too weird for words and I think it's sort of insulting. I want to know exactly which questions/answers led to that particular assessment.
I'm apparently Italian, but Irish, Belgian and Swiss are tied for second. There are only two countries with which I'm less than a 50% match, and one of those is a big part of my actual heritage. Hmm.
(I also totally, totally can't sleep right now. Wheee.)
The only things that I could think of for Turkey and your personality were strong coffee, hot days, and black humor.
I got 88% Italian. (Big shock.) I guess that's my love of noodles, red wine, and beaches.
French, Polish, and Belgian were tied at 63%. Hmmm...
Dutch, Danish, Irish, & Spanish all tied at 50%. Okay...
Dead last was Molvanian at 0%. Second to last was Russian at 13%-- must have been my love of hot, sunny days and my disdain for cold-water swimming and morning drinking.
I find it funny that Greek was so far down on my list it didn't even make the cut. And WTF that Turkey is on the list (hello, not European) but Cyprus isn't (um, hello, *is* European).
Wow, I wonder what criteria they used. Now I want to take the test.
Didn't know you were part Greek! No, Turkey is definitely not part of Europe, and Ankara's efforts to join the EU won't change that.
I spent two years in western Turkey (Izmir, aka Smyrna) and had a pleasant stay, but the one impression I was overwhelmingly left with was that there were certain things that Just Weren't Talked About. Like, history. And, Greeks, Kurds, and Armenians.

My friend Michael Totten visited Cyprus not long ago.
