It is about 90 degrees in my apartment. I hate not being able to regulate the heat in here. And I never thought I'd say this in November, but I'm so glad my A/C unit is still in the window so I can use it tonight.

I have the same problem in my apt. Thankfully, cracking the window is usually enough. If that fails, opening the window and the front door for a few minutes flushes all the heat right out of here, thank god.

If we got a cross-breeze, that might work. And with the cat, we can't leave the door open (I s'pose I could shut him in the bathroom). Worth a try. It's hell when we cook because the kitchen is laid out in such a way that the window -- and hence any breeze -- is partly blocked by the kitchen sink.

I must admit, temperature control in my place has gotten easier since mouser passed. Sadly, New York apartments are notorious for being way to freaking hot.

I've had more problems with inadequate heat than too-high heat in this town.

ugh, I am so there with you. We have every window in our apartment open at least 3 inches, and the fan part of the A/C on in our bedrooms. It is oppressive!!

I swear, if we could just fix this problem, the US would be so much less dependent on foreign oil...
