Woohoo! I have just finished uploaded edited versions of the nine articles I had to read while at FHL, and send a summary of my comments to my co-editors. A marathon state of mind was what I need and fail to get last weekend.
I'm a little "depressed" because I really wanted to go to the The American Educational Research Association (AERA) annual meeting. I just need to submit a small 2000 words article. I left it for last minute, I was suppoussed to work on it during my mini holidays and then send it for proofreading. I relax too much and didn't manage to have it on time. It's all my fault. AERA anual meeting is sort of the Lolapalloza festival for educational researchers and I hate myself a little for relaxing too much with the article and having left it to the last minute.

I do hope you have other opportunities to go to AERA - it sounds like the equivalent of the International Medieval Congress at Leeds for your field. I went to the IMC for the first time last year, just before coming to the US, and it was wonderful.

I don't know much about it but the little that I have learn I enjoy it.
What I know about it is only "peasent" knowledge related only to my very dusty theology studies 20 years ago. I have also read a little, very little, about family and childhood studies in medieval times and I absolutly love it.
Tourist activities like Cluny museum and such are also a a great pleasure for me, I indulge in them every time I travel.
[I also weep sililly at Eloise thomb ....not Abelard, I think he was an asshole]
