Hot sex and then you add in the very human emotional pain at the end.
As I was reading this I found myself hoping that Sherlock having held Ben, playing with him, and then this sinking so fully and deeply into subspace for John, that maybe maybe Sherlock's body would click into the program. It's still early though, it could happen. In the mean time, perfect babysitters.

What can I say? It wouldn't be me without that little bit of angst in amongst everything else. After this fic I don't think I know how to write happy any more.

Hope it was worth the wait.

You do know how to write happy but you've leavened it with bittersweet.
And yes it was worth the wait. Silly person. You really need to ask that.

If I ever stop asking that I'll be getting too big for my boots and the quality will probably crash through the floor as I rest on my laurels.

One day I will write a fluff piece. Just pure, teeth rotting, happy fluff. It hasn't happened yet, but I live in hope.
