Sweet! Next time I can go through the 305 GB of music on the server. This time, I only sifted through the 12 GB on my local machine for the most part.

Tis the season, I suppose. The weather always gets me down this time of year. It reduces my ability to deal with crazy people acting crazy. But it's the solstice so the sun will be growing from here on out.

Several friends did it last year, so I decided to participate this year. I will gladly send you a CD if you'll send me one. ;) The rules are:
1) Only one CD per person
2) No two songs by the same artist
3) At least one cover song
4) At least one foreign song (either foreign language or by a foreign group, which I guess could be as common as Coldplay or U2 if you want to be lame about it, heh).

We might go down there on Friday. She sent me an email today and I really want to see them and we don't have plans.

Hon, the Holidays can suck in twelve different positions. I'm glad you're upright and mobile, but it sounds like there are other 'issues' ...

So that's what the 12 days of Christmas are all about. ;) Seriously though, I always know this time of year sucks and as I attempt to brace myself for it, I'm called a Scrooge. Oh well. Despite the constant sinus blarg and the bad back, I just have an overall feeling of frustration right now and it's reflected in a myriad of ways. I'm trying not to post all about it because I'm trying to turn it around. But I'm noticing even my attempts at positive posts are peppered with it.

I'm excited about the menu! I did all my shopping yesterday except for the things I want really fresh (which I'll get either tomorrow or Friday). I'm about to start the pomegranate molasses on the stove right now and look down the rest of the menu to see what sort of prep work I can get out of the way in the next couple of days. Will definitely let you know how the gratin turns out. I'm really excited about that one because I've never cooked parsnips before.
