Maybe it's sleep apnea?

In any case, the thai food sounds awesome! I will have to look at that book for the recipes!

Eh, I don't have any of the other symptoms though, so probably not. I have a feeling there's something either conscious or subconscious keeping my brain from falling into that REM sleep that we all need. Or maybe I really do need to sleep a little longer. This morning I didn't get up with Chris and slept in until 7:50 or so and felt much better. Also, turning off the lcd monitor in our room last night might have helped.

I love that book! Everything I've made from it has been great!

I find it eerie that we are so in sync. Lately, I wake up just feeling crappy. I usually recall waking up once and it's usually to get Michael to roll over, but I won't allow myself to look at the clock (I read this a few weeks ago and have been trying really hard to abide). Though, I must admit that my dreams have been somewhat crazy. You were you and another person the other night. It was strange. You had painted half of your face for a costume you were going to wear, but it was so strange. Kind of a teal powder more than a paint and there was a lot of running. Last night, it was you and Chris Dayton. Eh. I hate when I dream about him. I ALWAYS wake up sad and angry. But you were rushing me around to get stuff done. I felt very underaccomplished the entire dream. Oddly, you have been in my dreams every night for the last few weeks.

I don't look at the clock anymore either, now that I'd have to sit up to look over Chris for it. It used to be at the head of the bed, so I'd just have to look up, but not anymore. I'm not really remembering my dreams, but I can only imagine that they must be wearing me out. Maybe I'm having another run of post-apocalyptic ones. I do recall a sensation the other day while I was dreaming and I was trying so hard to do something or a series of somethings and when it became apparent that I was going to fail and I started to despair. All of the sudden my conscious stepped in and I heard myself think "why do you care so much, this is just a dream". That was weird. Like my subconscious self was having a conversation with my conscious self. I didn't wake up either, though it was definitely in the morning.

You totally dreamed I was Braveheart, didn't you? :P

re: food pr0n

if it's just a written description with no pictures, you can probably get away with calling it "food erotica".

At this point, it's kind of habit.

It's definitely something in the air. Government conspiracy! I wake up feeling worn out with everything hurting worse than when I actually lay down to begin with. Naturally, the only times I feel LESS uncomfortable on waking and would like to stay still and enjoy it is when Owen is demanding I wake up and FEED him or CHANGE him or LOOK at him.

As far as the eerie feeling when creating sometimes, I get that. That's when we become the vessel of our muse. I swear it's like being possessed sometimes.

I'm thinking some new pillows might help and to do something to settle my mind before I lay down. The wheels don't stop turning, it seems. And yes, often I just go ahead and get up when Chris does because I'd rather get up with him instead of waiting for Jonah to wake me up with, "Mommy, I hungry." Most mornings I get a little bit of quiet time with my coffee and computer before he's up. That's something I guess.

It's kinda neat, but I almost feel like I can't take credit for the work later. ;)

The nights when my mind is running wild, I play a simple game. The one right now is "Same Colors". And this is all on my phone. That way, I can play in bed and as soon as my eyes get heavy, I can go straight to sleep. I've found that this helps a lot! Reading usually gets my brain going again and most other things involve me being up and by the time I'm tired and get to bed, I'm awake again.....
