Running week 7: I can barely count this.

Oct 13, 2008 07:23

I only ran one stinkin' day last week. Monday, I was dealing with poor Jonah's muck. Tuesday I ran and thought I was on my way to being back on track. Wednesday, I came down with the muck and I've been fighting it off ever since. Despite the fact that I still have a runny nose and off and on bouts with stomach ickiness, I'm going to try to get ( Read more... )

I really wanted to do the Halloween 5k, also. But, it would definitely have to be run/walk for us. We're just up to running 2 miles straight right now. I wouldn't want the race to get me discouraged because we're not up to running the whole thing. I don't know.

I love October and Love Halloween. It's the most wonderful time of the year.

I'm so sorry you've been sick! It has happened multiple times that when I get on an exercise program I get sick right away. And that's knocked me out of trying once or twice. I had a back pull this time, but I think I've mostly worked through it.

You'll get back to it! I know it's frustrating, but don't be discouraged. You have plenty of time. No rush.

Hey! I'm going to try to pm you the link to our running blog.

You're doing better than me! I'm still not up to more than a mile at once. I was thinking of doing the race, maybe running the first and third miles and walking the second. I think I could manage that and with no training Chris might be able to manage that. We'll just see. The party surrounding the race just looks like a lot of fun, too.

Because I don't have a serious race looming over me, this is all at my own pace and I keep reminding myself of that as I see another week slip by. The most important thing for me is that I actually pick it back up and keep going with it. It doesn't really matter what the time frame is.

I love this time of year as well. People don't look at me weird when I show up somewhere in costume! And normally the weather is quite pleasant. Hasn't turned cold yet, isn't unbearably hot.

I got your PM, will have to check it out.

I've decided I'm definitely going to do the race and Chris is as well. We may not run much or any of it, but the party that surrounds the race just sounds too much fun to pass up!

I thought you squeezed out 3 miles last week in your one day of running.
