Got 7 of 10 pieces listed to ebay. Ok wait, 6 of 9, one listing is just an assortment of bone beads that I really want out of my house. You should be able to search for Gaia's Jewel and find all of them (I put it in the title in the hopes to build a "label" of sorts). I've got pictures ready for 2 of the remaining three and descriptions to write ( Read more... )

The BR gown isn't too hard! I wouldn't use raglan sleeves though - they're a pain in the ass!

yeah, the pain-in-the-ass factor and the recent discussions on the yahoo group pretty much sealed it for me, no raglan! It's just my first gown with any sort of detail, so I'm anxious about it.

Sometime... I think I will try the raglan sleeve... Just to see what everyone is talking about! ;) Does the original BR gown have raglan sleeves? It is my understanding, and I could be wrong, that the only dress of Arwen's with raglan sleeves is the Cranberry...

Enjoy starting the BR! :)

I think you're right, at least according to recent conversations on the yahoo group, that's the general consensus. Cat talked about being nose to armpit with the Coronation gown and it's the same shape, so she's pretty sure it's set in sleeves. Because of the way some of the pics looked and the way the neckline is, I originally (along with a lot of others, I think) thought the BR gown had raglan sleeves. I'm actually relieved to find out they're not. Raglan isn't that bad to do on like a knit fabric where there's not a whole lot there (think 1970's baseball jerseys), but all that fabric draped off of it like on this gown, and using a brocade for the actual raglan part that has no give whatsoever, just not my idea of fun. ;]

I will have lots of fun starting this. Even more fun starting a costume for Chris (council velvet)!
