My mum's doozy: It was about a week after I had a still birth of a 22-23 week old baby boy, my first confirmed pregnancy after years of trying.
We were walking and there was a young woman with a baby in a stroller. I was trying to ignore her. My mother started a conversation with her. Then she turned to me, "Isn't that an adorable baby?" I stood there in shock and mumbled, "yes." But, she wouldn't stop.
Trev knows who you are. THAT'S the important bit. *He* knows you're his parent. Your mother, Gods love her, seems careless with your emotional well-being, and I'd just shrug and leave her to her obliviousness. I had to do the same with my mother for more or less the same reasons.

You are so right about family.

Babe, believe me when I say, there is NOONE, and that includes (most importantly) Th'Boy, that thinks you are anything but one of his moms.

You are very definitely Trevor's Mom and I am quite positive that he sees you that way as well.
We parents are, unfortunately, imperfect human beings.
