You can do more than play the guitar and sing. You love playing the piano too. No one else knows though. It’s not something you do often, and when you do play, no one is around to hear it. You don’t just like to play, you like to compose too. You write about big events in your life. You wrote a song for your new son, and a song for Rachel, your newest interest. Or, at least it started out as Rachel. The picture in your head has changed though since you started writing it. What had started out as a girl in a skirt and sweater had changed into a slender boy in designer shirts and skinny jeans. Long black hair changing to perfectly sculpted brown hair. You aren’t sure when the picture changes, but you feel more inspired with the new picture.
Once you finish the song, you ask him to stay after glee practice one day. He seems skeptical, but agrees. You sit down on the piano bench and pat the seat next to you. He sits down, but stays on the very edge of the bench. You sigh and start playing the song you wrote for him. You feel him moving closer to you as you play, your sides almost touching as you finish the song. You rest your hands on you knees, looking at the piano, afraid to look at him. He rests his head on your shoulder, placing his hand on top of yours. You turn your hand so that you can interlace your fingers with his. You like playing the guitar, but you love playing the piano.
