Movies: Suicide Squad, Civil War, & what I don't know about comics

I forgot I hadn't talked about Suicide Squad. I had started writing a longer entry, but the paragraph below is as far as I got and it'll do for a quick review.

I went into Suicide Squad with really low expectations. The reviews are bad; they talk about a noisy, plotless, messy, violent movie. But Rob wanted to see it anyway, and so did I, really.

If it makes you feel any better, I've been reading Marvel comics on and off since I was 12, and there's still plenty of stuff I have to look up. Who can keep all those retcons and AUs straight in their head?
