nope. i died. *nod*

ok. so i left you at manchester airport, got out of there paying only a dollar for parking cause i spent exactly an hour there *dance* and found my way to i-95, headed north, then i wanted to get off i-95 soon cos it turned into turnpike. i was like "since i'm in maine why don't i go to the beach?" and one of the exits said Coastal Road so i, naively believing that perhaps you could see the ocean from the Coastal Road, exited there.

i found myself in the motherlode of Outlet Shopping. sweet jebus. so i did some of that. then ended up at a Official Maine Rest Stop/Info Center, where I called my parents. good thing i did cause apparently i forgot to tell them I was coming back Monday night and they thought I was dead. "hi mom." "where are you?" "maine." they had a map of Moose-Related Fatalities. the moral of the story there is don't hit moose with your car.

so then i was like fuck it, i'm not leaving maine until i see the ocean. i looked at my map and thought i knew where to go. i drove around and around and got lost and then saw ocean. ocean! so pretty and dark blue. found a place to park, walked on the beach (in heels), watched some guy playing frisbee with his dog, realized it was fucking cold, got back in the car and drove home. er, actually, found an old navy and bought $9.99 cargo jeans and a fleece and a tshirt with moose on skis, then i went home.

there aren't too many highlights on the drive home. i got in a traffic jam on the way to 290, and i was pissed until i saw the reason - a tractor trailer that basically tried to go down the ramp but couldn't handle it and fell over. you don't see horizontal tractor trailers too often.

i started getting hardcore body aches from this non-flu thing i have - i mean, my leg hair rubbing against my pants hurt. the hair, not the leg. so that made the trip interesting. then it started pouring down snow when i hit albany. and i spent too much time in maine so it was
later than i meant it to be. but man, i felt so fucking hardcore when i got home.
