In some ways, this fic reminds me of a reversal for The Benders--Dean missing and Sam all hell-bent on getting his brother back. It's a nice dynamic--and good to see that Sam is just as protective of Dean as Dean is of him.

Aww, poor Sam seeing Dean’s pic. And Dean in a bad way … and Alec having angsty moments. Me like. *g*

Favorite lines:

“She yours?” the gruff voice asked, and Alec stopped himself just as he was about to reply with a “hell yeah.”

“No.” He cleared his throat, quickly sobering. “No, she isn’t.”

I really liked that, how Alec didn’t lie there. It was like he was showing Dean (and Sam) some respect. Nice.

“All I need to know is I’m bringing my brother back. Nothing else matters.”

Mmm. I like determined!Sam. Yummy.
