Stylistically, your writing is very compelling. The short scenes, present tense work incredibly well to drive the story and draw the reader in.

And the storyline still gets me--the aftermath of the accident, though not canon, is still very realistic, believable. The demon's pursuit of Sam is more clearly felt here, and its impact on the family is powerful. I love that scenario--and just seeing how Sam is being pushed beyond what he can handle and Dean is trying to pick up the slack when he's running on empty himself. It's so bleak and melancholy, and I worry greatly for them. So I really hope you don't make us wait so long for the next installment.

Oh, and Sam was limp. Limpness is good :) YAY unconscious!Sam...but I'll be curious to know what he says when Dean finally sees him.

And he did come didn't he? He came for Sam when he's never come for Dean, not even when Dean was dying ... And how will having their father around effect things? Dean always seems younger when his dad's around, sadder ... the dynamics are definitely different from when it's just Dean and Sam.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for chapter 8 because, well, because I need to know what happens next!

am a little worried about John. Reviews over at ff.net seem unanimous that he's a git :S might have to address his arrival here but not in Nebraska...or the place they were in prior to Nebraska.
