I loved the verbal volleyball between Dean and Sam - that so brings back memories of how my sister and I would be during a semi-serious row... You got the tone just right to make the whole thing both believable and humourous. That whole scene is just such a Sam and Dean thing - loved it. Then you go and make things serious again at the end ... need more asap ... (pretty please)
more goodness here. I really liked how dean had that reaction to hearing his dad's voice. there are so many ways to go with that situation, so many that fit and this was definitely one of them and I liked it. I liked that we didn't get to be involved in the conversation. You're nailing these characters. It's wonderful. The brotherly interaction was fun. I enjoyed it sooo much. I love that Sam just could not keep his hands to himself and *whacks him in the head* taking the thing with him, the geek. You really did a nice job of keeping the thread of what they are dealing overall on a subtle level. Dean wanting to research, like I had no clue it had started snowing in hell. then with sam being wrong about the hellhounds and dean figuring it out and what it all turned out to be and just when you think, ah story over till next chappie we get the creepifying rhyme and the broken tv. HOT DAMN! you know how to bring things full circle and close out a chapter. loved it. look forward to more. *hugs*
lol :) had a lot of fun doing the banter so glad you enjoyed it too. I'm always worried I make the boys too dramatic :S but eh there we go lol! thanks again hun!
Finally caught up. Okay, the entire hellhound scene was freakin' amazing. You totally nailed the boys (in an appropriate way of course). I'd pay Kripke to see that one on screen. lol
I've read a lot of post finale stories, but can't think of any that dealt with Dean being afraid of John after what the demon did, so I'm glad this story talked about. I'd be pretty freaked out if the last time I heard my dad he all Mr. Yellow Eyes.
Well, yes, we'd ALL love to nail them. Oh wait, you mean in fic, don't you? Uh. Yeah. In fic. >.>
I thought a lot more people would :S I mean...he's dressed as Dad...torturing his son
I'm not saying there aren't those stories out there or that people haven't written about it. But it doesn't seem to be one of the "big issues" that pops up. Does that make any sense? Maybe they just all came out right after the finale and it's been so long my brain has forgotten. Oh well. Doesn't matter. ;)
I'm awfully, terribly behind in my fic reading, which I guess is what happens to me when I'm all fic-writing-ery...but, so, and alas...I've just found this story.
I really should have reviewed as I read each chap, but I just kept clicky-clicking and ready-reading...*g*...but now I've reached the end of what's here.
*makes pouty lips*
All of that to say, really digging this. There are a lot of lines that made me smile or pause or say 'yes, yes' but it's oh, so late...and you'll just have to believe me when I say, 'More, please. Soon, please.'
