Variety says CBS has announced that The Unit is cancelled.

*sniff* Where will I get my freckle fix now? Will N3 bring Billy back? Please?

I have the last three episodes saved up to watch, because I was afraid this would happen.

I'm so sorry about The Unit... but I think that bringing Billy back would be an excellent choice.

I'm less upset than you might think, because I have big problems with his character on the show as written, however much he nailed his performance of it. But it's still sad to see him lose his spot on my weekly schedule.

Let's hope it's for the best, hon. This way he can star in roles that are even better for him and more leads! And hey, hopefully he'll get a pilot this fall and be back on a series by fall of next year! Until then, I anticipate much guest starrage - probably on CBS shows!
