I thought I'd post some comments on the River anthology, edited by Alma Alexander. They're purely subjective, especially since several people involved with the book are friends or online acquaintances. I’m not any kind of an experienced reviewer, just somebody who loves stories ( Read more... )

Lovely review, thanks for posting it. I'm so glad she liked it and it was kind of her to take the time and trouble to review it. (Sigh) But I wish she'd managed to get my name right. (Jacey - not Jaycee for anyone reading who's not sure what I'm talking about.)

Oh, thanks, I thought it was the reviewer. It's a common problem with some of my American friends that they pronounce it wrong, so spelling it wrong comes naturally. It's Jacey to rhyme with Macey not to rhyme with J. C.. The accent is on the first syllable. Not as bad as my father in law who called me Jason until the day he died. :-)

I am the reviewer. :) (I'm not an "official reviewer." I just liked the book.)
I feel silly, because I had the book in front of me, so I don't know how I did that.

Reminds me of my parents' next-door neighbor, who's always called me Mitzi instead of Missy.
